(Hint: you can do PPE without Maths here, just saying…)

Hey there! I’m Tanishk, nice to meet you!

I see that you’re looking at the offers you’ve got; they seem like an AMAZING bunch of universities. Congratulations, by the way; you’ve done an amazing job!

You’ve done the hardest part; you’ve satisfied the *pretty damn hard* offer requirements. However, now, the million dollar question awaits: which one do you choose?

Well, I’ll try to help you out a bit there. PPE is a tough course to get into, but since you’ve managed to get this far, I’m sure you’ll be able to make your decisions with just a little bit of information.

I’m here to give you that information. Yay! Time to learn more! (Gee, I’m really enthusiastic about learning today, wonder why that is…)

So, what is PPE at Warwick like? Why should you do PPE at Warwick?

Well, for starters, it is AMAZING for someone who wants an interdisciplinary study between the three disciplines, especially if you’re not particularly fond of the maths involved.

The entry requirements aren’t too stringent with regards to Maths; there are different levels of Maths and Stats that you can do, depending on how comfortable you are with the subject.

Don’t be worried if you are a complete beginner, either. The introductory modules for each of the three key disciplines are structured in a way that you are not disadvantaged in any way whatsoever, even if you don’t know the P in Politics (I was in your position, mate!).

The faculty is amazing; they are there to support you with any queries you may have, and are extremely approachable to guide you through the course!

Don’t be fooled into thinking, however, that Warwick is not for you if you’re looking for higher level economic, social, political and philosophical discourse. That is absolutely not true.

You have the opportunity to select modules which scrutinise and implement the most intricate and complex methods of analysis, pushing you out of your comfort zone to learn something new.

You could choose between advanced time-series econometrics, doing a dissertation in any of the three subjects (or a mix of them), spending your days diving into the depths of Sartre; the opportunities are endless.

In a nutshell, Warwick PPE offers the complete package, I’d say.  I guess you’ll have to come here and find out for yourself 😉

Which discipline in PPE interests you the most? Let me know in the comments below!

Hope to see you in the fall on campus; once again, congratulations on receiving your offers!

Tanishk out 😛
