Where to study on campus?

Probably this is a really tricky question. I know there are people who just study in their rooms when everything is perfectly quiet; however, that is not the case for everyone.
I always tease my friends telling them that I can actually be in a room full of noise. and it is true, even though it can sound terrible. Back at home, Back to the house where I lived until I was 10 years old, you get used to work with the neighbours screaming, with the high music on the radio or any other noise that come from the street. These are things that are not going to change. Then I moved to a better neighbourhood, one of the best sectors of Lima, with beautiful views, houses. The flat where I used to live has a nice view of Lima’s principal highway and it is quite nice. I really enjoyed watching the cars pass and trying to recognize different brands and models of cars. However, you can feel the noise, the sound of the cars passing so quickly, that sound never stops and you just have to deal with it.
A couple of days ago, I was going to study with a friend. We went to the library looking for the perfect quiet space which we never found because there was construction in progress. She was so stressed and I really did not mind; but as I mentioned before, this depends on the person! If you want a really quiet environment you should go to library floor 4 or 5. I hope you have better luck than us!
I never study in the library. Maybe because I find a bit intimidated watching so many people studying or maybe because so much silence stress me a bit. Library gets crowded sometimes so If you want to study there be prepared and arrive before noon to find a place for sure.
During term 3 of year 1, I studied every single day in the oculus with my best friend, from Monday to Sunday, from 8 am to 5-8 pm. Yeah for sure, we did not study all the time, we had millions of breaks and walks around campus but studying with her motivate me to work. If you find your study partner or a study group, you can get many benefits: you can compare answers, ask questions if you are doing the same degree; or just have nice company!
Oculus was my favourite place to study for so long. I went there every morning too during term 1 of year 2; however, the new arts faculty building has taken its place! Now, you can see me on floor 4, at a big table with a nice view of campus. Yes, the views of the sunsets are amazing from here. I think it reminds me of home in a way and also going up and down the stairs, many times a day is a good exercise!
As I mentioned before, this can vary depending on your preferences; but if you enjoy a good study space where you can meet some friends, chill for a bit and then work; definitely try Oculus and the new arts faculty building.
Do not forget to arrive not so late to find a place!
