Now that the majority of courses have finished exams, there are tons of places in Coventry and Leamington to celebrate with your friends and family.

In Leamington Spa

Kelsey’s- Located on the High Street, Kelsey’s is a must visit for all students at Warwick. With a buzzing atmosphere, it is a great place to celebrate with lots of comfy seating and pool tables. They also have the ‘eliminator’ a famous drink for circles that is bound to make the atmosphere even more electric. (They only accept cash)

Fizzy Moon- On Regent Street Fizzy Moon serves food and drinks inside and outside, with the addition of live music. According to reviews and talk from friends, it’s a lovely venue to celebrate offering a range of cocktails and a weekly Sunday lunch.

Spoons- On the Parade, The Benjamin Satchwell is the hub for students living on campus and in Leam. Like all spoons, the food and drinks are fairly cheap and the atmosphere is loud and cheerful. Plus you will find other students there to meet!

Tenpin Leamington Spa- If you are looking to have fun with your friends the Shires Retail Park is the place to go for bowling. With prior booking required, you can also spend time in the arcade and after the game grab some food and drinks there.

Chesterton Windmill- If you are looking for a more chill vibe after exams, this spot is the perfect place to have a picnic. It is also the perfect place to see the sunset too! I would recommend buying some food and getting an Uber or the bus to the Windmill as it is quite far out.

Turtle Bay- This year Turtle Bay has definitely been one of the main spots that I have seen people frequently visit. For just under £30 you can get bottomless brunch with endless cocktails! There is also a wonderful array of Caribbean food to try.

On Campus

The Dirty Duck- Located on the Piazza, The Dirty Duck is a convenient pub where you can get together with friends on the balcony or inside. They have lots of vegan and vegetarian options too, and ‘purple’, another circling drink known on campus.

The Terrance Bar- Above Curiositea, T bar is a great place for drinking socially with friends. They have comfortable seating, and with music rooms next door, there is likely to be live music playing too.

In Coventry

Whilst I am not very familiar with places in Coventry for social drinking, I do have some spots in mind for eating.

In the City Centre, there are quite a few places to go including Wagamamas, Las Iguanas and Zizzi’s. All three options have a wide range on their menu and have both indoor and outdoor seating. There are also performers that you can watch in the Centre whilst you eat.

If you are looking to drink in Coventry, there is also the Alchemist, located next to Wagamamas and Zizzi’s. They have loads of wonderful, creative, molecular mixology cocktails and drinks to try!

Even if you don’t plan to go out during this time, there are so many other options to celebrate like doing your favourite hobby now that we have free time or even watching a film.

Congratulations on finishing exams! You deserve a rest!
