Warwick, I Miss You – OurWarwick

Warwick, I Miss You

Ive been back home for approximately a week and a half and I can’t lie, I really miss Warwick! I thought that I’d love life at home during Summer, but I’ve already become bored?! I am so jealous of all my flat mates who are still at Uni and are having so much fun – I’m stuck at home because of work. Although, I may return back to Warwick in the next few days since I have some days off and I want to use up any time I can there, whilst I still have the rent of my Jack Martin room.

So, what have I been up to since I’ve been home? Pretty much either working at my part-time job or lying on the sofa all day watching TV (being at University has really made me miss my sofa). Since we’ve been studying for the past year at Uni, I feel like I need to be productive this Summer – does anyone else find it weird sitting around doing nothing all day? I’m determined to find a hobby so I can keep busy!

Results Day is lurking upon us, fun times. Incase any of you are potential first year students for 2016 – 2017 and may be attending Warwick in October, you should know that University results days are a lot earlier than school results days. I was expecting that we would get our results during August, like I have done for the past 7 years at school. However, my results day this year is June 30th and I am dreading for that pass list to be put up – praying that I pass every module and don’t have to retake in September… When they told us at the beginning of the academic year that we needed 40% in every module to pass the year and proceed into second year, I thought ‘40%? I can do that in my sleep’. Although, it turned out that the exams were pretty hard in my opinion, even though I had been revising for forever! I’m sure I got the 40% and if not, it’s all okay because this first year doesn’t count and can essentially be treated as a practice. So if you’re attending Warwick next year, try not to stress too much in your first year because it won’t be worth it – I reckon I stressed way too much.

I’ll keep you all updated on my Summer adventures during the next few months, I’m going to Tenerife in July so I can’t wait for that! I hope you’re all having a great Summer so far.
