Warwick Accommodation – which one is best for me?

Hi everyone!

I have been speaking to a few current students about ideas for blog posts and many of them have mentioned that they felt they didn’t have enough information when choosing first-year accommodation (especially photos), so hopefully, this post may help with your decision making!

(Please note that these are the opinions of students, and things can change – everybody’s experience is different!!)

To start off with;

Rootes:

THE BEST ACCOMMODATION I SUGGEST YOU CHOOSE IT! (not being biased at all)

I am sure you will like whichever accommodation you choose, however personally: Rootes really is the best. I got along with my flatmates well, there is enough room space, super close to central campus, and being one of the largest accommodations, you will end up getting to know so so so many people!!

It isn’t an ensuite, though this really was not a problem at all. The laundrette isn’t in the accommodation, it is a 3.5-minute walk, but this is a great excuse to socialise with others heading that way too – definitely not a reason to not select it!

  • Don’t have rooms over Easter break
  • Plumbing isn’t great
  • Central heating has stopped working at times
