Things to Look Forward to in the 2nd Term
So, I am finally back at Uni, after an extended holiday since all the national roads, highways and railways were blocked for a couple of days due to heavy snow back in Romania. I had a flight for Friday (the 6th) and I was obliged to buy another flight as I could not get to Bucharest as south-eastern Romania’s transport networks were closed. The cheapest one was on the next Friday, so that was the most accessible offer I could get. All in all, I am ready to start the 2nd term, ready to work, learn and evolve. I made a list and did some research on all the stuff going on at uni in the spring term, so I really hope you’ll choose to attend some of the events I’ve picked up and am looking forward to.
We can all try some vegan delights this month, as the majority of cafes and restaurants on campus(Curiositea, Dirty Duck, The Bread Oven, Xananas) have vegan options throughout January.
2. World Wide Week
This is usually the 3rd week of term 2 and it consists of a fashion show, sports events, a range of forums and its’ main purpose is to celebrate different cultures all over the world reunited here at Warwick.
3. TedXWarwickSalon3 (Wednesday 25th January, 5-7 PM, MS0.01, FREE ENTRY)
4. Team WARWICK
5. The Winter 2017 Degrees Ceremonies (18th, 19th, 20th January)
These are just a couple of events happening in the last two weeks of January (can you imagine that the first month of 2017 is already gone?) that I am really looking forward to. Tomorrow I am going to uni, for the first time this term (wish me luck!) and next weekend I am going to London, so maybe I will try to take some pictures there and on campus for my next blog post. See you soon!
