Things to do on campus this Christmas

As the Christmas holidays approach, you may be considering travelling home (remember to get an asymptomatic test on campus before you head off!) or you might decide to stay on campus. For those of you who don’t decide to travel, here is a list of things you can do at Warwick over the holidays (and they’re all absolutely free)!

  • Join the student cook-along

This event will take place on Thursday 15 December where a chef will teach you how to cook a beef or vegan cottage pie – a great meal for those cold winter days! All you need to do is sign up here to register to collect your free recipe kit. Don’t worry if you’re self-isolating on campus – they’ll deliver the recipe kit to you on the day!

  • Take part in Taskmaster

Yes that’s right! This event is based on the hit Channel 4 show and will challenge students to take part in a series of random tasks. It’s great to do as either an individual or team (get your flatmates involved)! If you think this is for you, sign up here and follow the instructions given. The mysterious Taskmaster will judge each task and at the end of Term 2, Warwick will have a new Taskmaster Champion!

  • Board games

When’s not a good time to play a good old-fashioned board game! Don’t worry if you didn’t bring any to your accommodation with you! Santa’s Little Helpers will be delivering presents to flats across campus this December so keep a lookout!

  • Watch the CU Carol service

It’s time to get into that festive spirit and what better way to do this than to watch a beautiful carol service. This event will take place on Friday 11 December and promises to be great!

These are just a few things you can do this holiday but why not comment below with your plans for this Christmas!
