The Top 3 Coffee Shops in Leamington Spa
From its energy-boosting properties to its full, rich taste, coffee is a staple drink for many people – with so many varieties to pick from nowadays, there really is a world of coffee to discover.
So whether you’re a seasoned coffee drinker, or a newbie to the world of coffee, look no further. Below are the best coffee shops in Leamington Spa that will quench your coffee craving (as well as serve some amazing food too). All of these coffee shops can be found in the town centre, so they are easily accessible from the Parade, and are all within a few minutes walk from each other if you ever wanted to visit all three in one day!
Side note: my personal favourite coffee to order is a chai latté, so if you’re a fan of those, then be sure that each of these coffee shops serves a fantastic chai latté, (as well as other tasty drinks too!)
- Esquires Coffee
Location: 52-54 Warwick St, Leamington Spa, CV32 5JS.
Esquires Coffee is a great coffee shop which serves a wide range of iced and hot drinks, as well as really tasty meals and snacks, situated on Warwick Street in Leamington Spa. I have eaten breakfast here twice – pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, and avocado on toast, both of which were fresh and tasty. The whole coffee shop has a really calming light and airy feel, with big windows and spacious tables making it the perfect place to relax or to productively study.
There are a variety of different table layouts – comfy armchairs, sofas and benches to name a few – to accommodate for whether you are visiting Esquires Coffee alone, with someone else or a large group of people. It can get quite busy on weekends, so be sure to get there early to grab a seat!
- Coffee #1
Location: 71 Warwick St, Leamington Spa, CV32 4RQ.
I love Coffee #1 for its combination of inexpensive yet tasty drinks and food (great for a university student!), comfortable seating arrangement and ambient lighting. It is my number-one value-for-money coffee shop in Leamington Spa!
As well as my favourite chai latté, Coffee #1 sell a gorgeous mint and white chocolate frappuccino, which is perfect on a hot summer’s day! The food is great too – their breakfast sandwiches and rolls are delicious, and they also serve a huge range of cakes and pastries to satisfy any sweet craving.
Personally, I prefer to come to Coffee #1 for the purpose of relaxing and hanging out with friends, as opposed to studying due to the lack of plug sockets to charge my laptop, as well as the slightly smaller tables which may make it difficult to fully spread out your work if you are studying with friends. However, if you are coming alone with a fully charged laptop, then you could certainly enjoy a study session alongside some moreish coffee and food.
- Gusto Ricco
Location: 63 – 65 Regent St, Leamington Spa CV32 5DX
Gusto Ricco is a cosy café situated just off the main Parade in Leamington Spa. I only discovered the café recently, and I am so glad that I stumbled upon it. From the outside, Gusto Ricco may seem slightly small, and so you may think that the café is full. However, they have an extensive amount of seating both downstairs and upstairs, so be sure to ask if there is a table available.
The interior decor is so unique, and makes for a cosy and welcoming environment. They serve an extensive selection of hot and cold drinks; I ordered a chai latté when I visited, and it was super frothy and creamy (a huge thumbs-up from me!). Their food is delicious too, serving a range of dishes from Italian and Mediterranean platters, paninis and bruschetta to smaller plates such as stuffed vine leaves, crepes and croissants.
