The Best Christmas Movies
What better way is there to get into the festive spirit than to watch a good Christmas film!? Here is a list of some of my favourites!
5. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
If you haven’t already watched this (or even if you have!) I would definitely recommend this classic Christmas film. Everything about it is gripping, from the unique animation to the wicked yet humorous storyline. Without giving too much away, you’ll definitely love this movie if you’re a Halloween or Christmas fan!
4. The Grinch
Sure to lighten the spirits of even the biggest scrooge, this film shows how The Grinch goes from despising Christmas to loving it thanks to some small acts of kindness. This message is particularly relevant during the pandemic, when people may feel lonely this winter. So be sure to give your elderly neighbour a wave next time you see them and remember small acts can go a long way!
This hilarious heart-warming family favourite follows the journey of primary school children and their teachers as they go about creating the nativity play of their lifetimes. Not only does this film provide plenty of laughs, but it is sure to make you feel good for the rest of the week!
2. Arthur Christmas
We all know that Father Christmas has a huge job of delivering hundreds of millions of presents to children all over the world, but what happens when he misses a child? Arthur Christmas is a light-hearted, fun-filled family movie which will definitely put a smile on everyone’s faces. This animation is a must-watch for anyone who wants to get in the Christmas spirit!
1. A Christmas Carol (2009)
Of course, this had to be number one! This nostalgic Christmas film will allow you to reflect on the past, present and future. And if you’ve watched this film already, why not try the Muppet version?
