Santa – in and around Coventry!
As someone who loves Christmas (and someone who has seen Santa each week for the past month!), I thought I’d compile a list of some of the places that you can go to see Santa, in and around Coventry. Also, with this being the last weekend before Christmas, it’s a lovely time to go and visit Santa, and experience some Christmas magic!
Coventry Santa Tracker – the 5 Rotary Clubs of Coventry get together annually, to bring Santa to Coventry and raise money for local charities. Santa has been travelling around the streets of Coventry since 9th December and his last stop is at Morrisons Store, on the Holyhead Road on Monday 23 December, from 9.30am.
Coventry Transport Museum – my favourite visit to Santa is going to the sleigh ride at the Coventry Transport Museum. Most people from Coventry will remember going to this sleigh ride as a child, when it was housed in the Coop, on Corporation Street. I have many fond memories of going on the sleigh ride and meeting Santa, when I was a child. Thankfully, when the Coop closed, the sleigh ride went to the Coventry Transport Museum, so the children (and adults!) of Coventry can still experience this festive tradition. This year the museum has included a walk-through ‘Winter Wonderland’, which is a nice touch. This year’s sleigh ride and winter wonderland runs from 2 – 23 December. For more information on times and pricing, please visit their website: https://www.transport-museum.com/events/1438/visit_santa_vintage_sleigh_ride_and_winter_wonderland
Sea Life Centre, Birmingham – if you visit the Sea Life Centre, in Birmingham, up to 23 December, a visit to Santa is included with all entry tickets. Plus, kids receive a gift from Santa, and you can watch a version of the Polar Express in 4D! Dobbies Garden Centres – Dobbies are doing a couple of Santa events this year, up until Christmas Eve, you can visit Santa’s Grotto, or have breakfast or tea with Santa. However, you would need to check availability and book via their website:

Wherever you go to see the big man – I hope you have a magical time!
