Reading Week and places to Study

So for some lucky students this week is reading week, a chance to catch up on reading and start writing those essays that are due in the next few weeks. However, if like me you not so lucky to have a reading week, it’s just another normal week at uni. However, you may find it a little bit quieter on campus this week, as some students take the opportunity to go home and see family and friends.

So where do we study best? I know for different people we all study differently. I prefer to not study at home, because as a mother I find it easy to find other stuff I think I need to do, like washing, ironing or just organising the home. Therefore when I want to study, I have to get out of the house. My favourite places to study, depend on what I’m doing exactly, however, I sometimes use the library or the learning gird. Did you know that the library is now open 24/7? This means we can use it whenever it suits us best. I have yet to go to the new Oculus building, but I hear it’s an amazing new building and has places where you can study. Personally, I prefer to use a coffee shop in Coventry. There are two specific coffee shops I use, you may or may not want to check them out. The reason I use these two coffee shops is mainly due to the fact that their wifi is great and it’s unlimited.

The first coffee shop I use is Kahawa, it’s based in the town. If you fancy trying it out, the address is 163 New Union Street, Coventry, CV1 2PL. My second coffee shop I love to use is called Finneys, it’s not that far from Kahawa the address is 25 Warwick Road, Coventry, CV1 1EY. This coffee shop feels like you have escaped Coventry for a little bit.

Wherever you like to study, make sure it suits your needs.
