Hello, I’m Maura! I’m a third year student at Warwick, studying Early Childhood (part-time). I’ve worked in various office roles for the past 20+ years; however, I’ve always wanted to do a degree course. You could say – work and life just got in the way! Now, I’m in a position where I can finally do a degree, I’ve found a subject that I’m passionate about, and I feel very lucky to be able to complete my degree at the University of Warwick. Outside of my studies, I’m a wife and mother. I have a beautiful three year old daughter, who I love spending time with. She has a very active social calendar, which includes lots of classes and meeting up with her little buddies. I also have a passion for travelling. I’ve backpacked around Asia, Australia and New Zealand (with my husband), I’ve taught English in China, and I’ve visited six of the seven continents (just Antarctica to go!). I make a point of visiting a new country every year. I find travel so enriching. I love visiting new places, meeting new people and learning about different cultures. Whilst studying at Warwick, I thought that it might be nice to try something new and give blogging a go. Hopefully you will find my blogs enjoyable and engaging, and maybe even informative on occasion!
