Hi! I’m Beth, a final year Theatre & Performance Studies student. I chose the Theatre course here at Warwick because it was the right balance of theory and practical work – whilst I prefer the theoretical side of drama, I still wanted to explore the practical performance aspect, and this course has allowed me to develop both academically and as a hands-on theatre maker. There is also an exciting theatre community on campus with a huge variety of drama societies to get involved with and amazing performance spaces such as the Warwick Arts Centre and the Humanities Studio. Plus, being able to say that you study Theatre in Shakespeare’s county is very cool! Aside from drama, I also love to dance and explore new places. I’ve loved getting to visit the beautiful towns and cities close the campus including Warwick, Leamington Spa and Stratford upon Avon, so expect some blog posts about my trips! Over my time at uni I’ve had so many experiences – from living in halls and getting involved with societies, to making new friends and developing my passion for my subject. I’m really looking forward to writing about my time here and hope it helps give you an insight into what it’s like to be a part of Warwick.
