Food, glorious, food! Since being at university for my second year, everything has been very different to what I expected. No more nights out and not much to do, but as a replacement, my flat and I have been going out for dinner with many of our friends. This is a great way to spend an evening after a long and hard week of work. Hence, I thought it would be great for me to write a blog post showing you our top favourite places to eat in Leamington Spa so far! We have been to a variety of places so there will definitely be a place below that suits you:

  • Red Hot Mamma

This is a nice quaint shop on a side street in the centre of Leamington. This is traditional Italian pizza at its finest with a range of choices. The pizzas are massive and taste just as good. In the restaurant, they can make all elements to create Neapolitan pizza with simple, fresh ingredients. Additionally, another top tip is that if you collect, instead of delivery, you will receive 20% off your order! It is currently not open for eating in due to coronavirus, but I will definitely be visiting it in person when this is possible.

  • GBK (Gourmet Burger Kitchen)

Now this is a restaurant you may find in a number of places however the reason I list it here is for one simple reason: their Beyond Burger! For any vegetarians and vegans, this is an amazing alternative to meat and tastes just like the real thing. The burger tastes amazing and it is definitely worth a try! The rest of their burger selections is also amazing and will not let you down. The shop is located on Regent Street, just off the Parade.

  • Giggling squid

This is a very aesthetic Thai restaurant which is the perfect place to go at any time of day. The food is stunning while a range of curries, fish, and Asian food and just sitting in the restaurant makes your day event better. When we visited the restaurant, we actually got sat on a table which was inside a bird cage! On the other hand, this would also be the perfect place to go on a date. Tables here are hard to come by so definitely book in advance.

  • Hayashi

This restaurant is situated North of the Parade and serves up a wonderful selection of sushi, Japanese food and even Korean BBQ! It is run by a small family and has everyone coming back for more. The restaurant is always busy and ensures you a good night!

  • Procaffeinate

Procaffeinate is a popular café for students alike and sits just south of the river. They offer a range of food, pastries, cake and breakfast! Now I haven’t actually been here yet personally, but I am keen to try it very soon and apparently it is also a great place to go to study. Food is served until 4pm each day.

  • Bill’s

From brunch to burgers, Bill’s really does have it all. They serve a range of healthy and indulgent options based on a seasonal menu. Additionally, if you sign up to their mailing list you will be sent promotional codes and offers. I often go in just for their salads at lunchtime.
