Peace
Dear Everyone,
I hope you are all keeping well.
First, I wanted to send some thoughts and prayers to the Ukrainian Nation and to all Students/Families/Individuals directly and indirectly touched by the war.
We have seen in the news, students living in Ukraine coming from all around the world and trying to evacuate the country. Our University of Warwick posted a supportive statement from Vice-Chancellor Stuart Croft, and you can read it by clicking on the following link: https://warwick.ac.uk/students/news/newsevents/standwithukraine . This is an external link; therefore, it is visible to any audience.
Also, the University offers some support such as the Wellbeing Portal, the Chaplaincy, Student Funding, the Students’ Union Advice Centre, and, has a zero-tolerance for any bullying or harassment of any sort. There is confidential support available via Report and Support. To access each link please click and press the ctrl key at the same time.
The positive thing I may highlight from this terrible news is the level of unity and humanitarianism raised across the world, whether formed by peace protests against the war, donations of various sorts, hosting accommodations, border crossing, and so on. Humanity, unity, and inclusivity are signs that love, and peace remain…
Let’s keep praying for peace and support.
Without transition and on another subject, I wanted to talk about the library on the central campus. We might forget or don’t know that the library is accessible for students’ children, alumni but also for external visitors. Please see terms and conditions by clicking on the following link: https://warwick.ac.uk/services/library/using/visiting/
Also, since the works conducted last year, you can enjoy new facilities, sitting areas such as booths. The entry and exit access are easier and more flowing… Basically a very modern look and use. Also, it is safe to go because there are checking temperature stations as well as Covid testing places in case of suspected symptoms.

Below, you will find the floors and their functionalities. Each floor has study places and some of them are reserved for quiet zones. If you need special arrangements, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the service at +44 (0)2476 522026 or via email at library@warwick.ac.uk. Please visit the following link for further details: https://warwick.ac.uk/services/library/contact/

The library is a very useful place to study, research, and make good use of the various available resources such as books, catalogs, journals, and so on. They can be accessed digitally or by hard copies. It can also be a way to socialise or get a different studying environment space which can help to concentrate. A massive advantage is also the opening hours. Apparently, the 24h slots are back 😊. How great, since it can accommodate all lifestyles…
I am aiming to write another section about the library once I receive further information.
On these notes and ahead of the soon-coming end of the second half term, I wish you all the best with your assignments and exams. I cannot stress enough the importance of getting organised with plans and notes prior the end of term 😊
I have myself 4 big projects in May and there is no time to waste phew…lol
Have a great weekend all and keep positive.
