My Graduation Playlist

Anything!
Find out more about me
Last year when my friend graduated from her degree, she created a playlist to reflect her thoughts and feelings on the day she finished her time at university. Today I graduate from Warwick with a First Class Honours degree in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology with Study in Europe. I can’t have a real party, so instead here is my virtual graduation party playlist. Congratulations to all of the Warwick Class of 2021- WE DID IT!
- Victorious, Panic! At the Disco
- This one had to top the list. This was the first song I listened to in the car after passing my driving test, and I’m fairly sure it featured heavily on my A-Level results day soundtrack.
2. 1999, Charli XCX and Troye Sivan
- A shout out to my second-year housemates. I love and miss you all.
3. Warmth, Bastille
- It is a wild, wild world indeed. My degree literally saved my life this year, and although it was never going to be easy graduating in a pandemic, Warwick has been one source of stability in a year wrought with chaos.
4. 22, Taylor Swift
- Dedicated to my final-year housemates. I couldn’t have done it without you.
5. Hey Look Ma I made It, Panic! At the Disco
- No explanation required.
6. Come on Eileen, Dexy’s Midnight Runners
- A nod to Pop and Disco Dave.
7. Don’t You (Forget About Me), Simple Minds
- I’ve met so many wonderful people during my degree. I won’t forget you, so don’t you forget about me.
8. Feeling Good, Nina Simone
- Ending on a positive feeling. I’m looking forward to my next steps with Warwick, and beyond. It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me… and I’m feeling good.
Bye for now,
Becca.
