My Favourite Places to Eat in Leamington

Leamington is a lovely place to live, not least for all the restaurants and cafes! There are plenty of chains, as you would expect from a reasonable sized town, including Bills, Pizza Express, Nandos and Las Iguanas, but this year I have loved trying out some of the independent places. Here are some of my faves!

If you are interested in going here I would recommend either booking or going off peak as it is quite small and very popular! The décor is charming and rustic, the table decorations are Instagram-worthy and the cakes look incredible! When I went for breakfast I ordered the special banana bread French toast and it was the best way to start my day.

I would describe the interior of Spa Town Coffee as Scandi-minimalism (?!); think clean, white walls and surfaces and a lovely uncluttered feel. They have a surprisingly long hot drink menu, including tea- steamers – tea blends mixed with steamed milk – which I love.

After visiting for lunch the other day, since one of my flatmates works there, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t discovered it sooner! The service was excellent and the food was so tasty; I had bruschetta topped with pepper and Italian ham, and I really want to go back and try the platters.

Forget Dominos and Pizza Hut, if you live in Leam I would whole-heartedly recommend Basement Browns for all your pizza needs. The pizza bases are crisp without being crunchy and I like how you can customise your pizza with extra vegetables. The mozzarella dippers are incredible as well, though I would definitely encourage you to get a double portion 😉

As a long-time fan of Curiositea, I have tried my best to explore all that Leamington offers in the form of afternoon tea. Vinteas is your typical vintage tea rooms and the cakes are scrummy! They also have an excellent range of teas.

Leif were the sponsors of Warwick Tap this year, so we went there for quite a few socials! It is possibly my favourite place in Leamington, as the breakfast and brunches are lovely, especially the full Englishes, the Sunday lunches look amazing and then in the evening the cocktails are great! They have a wide menu of drinks, and often have live music which only adds to the ambience.
