Living Off Campus
Hello and welcome back to my blog! I wish you all an amazing new academic year and do not forget to make the most out of the Warwick experience. I am back with a new blog post for you, as this time we are talking about living off campus with Warwick Accommodation. If you have just started your 1st year at Warwick, then you should definitely think about next year’s accommodation. Yes, it is true. I know many of you may have just settled in their new room, but yes, you should start finding the perfect flatmates for next year as well, as houses fly off the market immediately as the viewings on Warwick Accommodation appear. Last year, at the beginning of December, I had already secured a house with my fellow Romanian housemates in Canley, 20 minutes walking distance to our uni.
I have to admit, I have not seen the house before coming to uni, we could only see the kitchen, the dining room, the living room and the bathroom, as students were settled in the bedrooms and we could not see it at the time of our viewing. Fortunately, I was extremely pleased with how my room looked when I arrived last week in the UK. All of us have double beds, large windows, vintage-looking furniture with plenty storage space, desks, mirrors and my favourite part: built-in dressings. I did have a couple of extra very important stuff to buy to personalise my room, such as a lamp, bedding, pillow, pictures with my family and friends and so on.
All in all, I advise you to definitely start thinking about next year’s accommodation ASAP as the best houses with the best costs go quickly and even if the possibility for you to remain without accommodation is little, it is smart to start looking early. This post is dedicated mostly to freshers and with this being said: do make lots of friends, but most importantly, do make long-lasting friends that will not disappoint and drop out at the last minute from your accommodation contract. Quality friends are the best ones out there and will always stick with you, thus you should choose wisely and will not be disappointed,
