Going away with societies… Sub-Aqua takes Cornwall
I’m sorry this is going to be a shorter blog than usual, but I’m currently sat in Sainsburys trying to use their wifi for as long as I can before heading over to the beach later. As you can tell, I’m definitely not sat at Warwick – but rather I’m down south with the WUSAC, Warwick University Sub-Aqua Club.
This week long trip is the culmination of 5 months of theory and pool sessions to get us prepared to complete our BSAC Ocean Diver course. It’s one of the different courses the society offers, and is just once example of the variety of sports societies in Warwick (of course, there will be a post about it later in general!).
We left on friday, and so far the trip seems to be going well. We’re staying in caravans for the week, and trying to dive every day. I say that, but illness has kept some of us from diving yesterday so it’s a catch-up today instead. Going away with the university for that length of time was a little daunting, yet it’s gone so well. We’ve all managed to cook, sleep at reasonable times, and have enjoyed every part of it so far. Hopefully next time you read a blog from me, I’m back and mostly/fully qualified to dive!!
I’ll update you with what happens next time, and sorry this is so short!
