First Year Highlights

I have to say that 2015 has been my best year so far and has given me many chances to prove my worth in terms of academic accomplishments. One of the biggest rewards was, of course, securing my place at Warwick and I have to say that my first year was a blast. From having the chance to visit some of the most amazing cities in the world to writing academic essays, learning and going to lectures in another style-system, to taking some different types of exams, to keeping a long-distance relationship, to partying, to sleepless nights, to homesickness, it has been quite a full year and it has given me a new perspective on adulthood and different sorts of responsibilities. Here are the top highlights from my first year as a Warwick student:

1. Visiting Paris before coming to Uni

2. Exploring the UK: Coventry, Leamington Spa, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, Cambridge

3. Going back home for the winter break and then spring break

4. Responsibilities: catching flights, cleaning my room, cooking, washing clothes, doing the groceries, going to lectures, doing the readings and homework, writing essays, taking exams

5. Getting “published” for COBALT Warwick Magazine

6. Getting the WSPA award
