Favourite things to do to wind down during the Easter Break:

Firstly, I would like to say I hope you are making the most of your Easter break so far! Personally, what I love about the Easter break is the prospect of Spring, which is just one step closer to Summer 🙂 If you celebrate Easter you may also be looking forward to the chocolate eggs – like myself 😉
Although I understand that you may have some deadlines looming, it is important to take at least a few days in the holidays to relax and take a breather from your university studies. This will ensure that you’re not feeling burned out during that last push as you end the academic year.
So, I thought I’d use this blog to share some of my favourite things I have been doing during the Easter break to take some time away from the books and essays:
- Catch-up with friends – many of you would have travelled back home for the Easter holidays, along with many other students from various universities. It is always nice to make plans with friends when you have been away for a while and update each other face-to-face, rather than through a screen. My plans involve going out on dinner dates, shopping trips and out for cocktails!
- Hopefully, the warmer weather approaches as we head deeper into April, and one thing that I enjoy when the sun is out is going on scenic walks. I always bring my dog along, but this is also something where you could bring your family or friends. This works wonders for getting you away from the desk and outside to clear your mind. It also increases the production of endorphins, for example, serotonin, which will benefit you by positively affecting your mood.
- Finally, something I have really enjoyed lately is baking! I have added a couple of inspiration images of treats my sister and I have created lately… (And I must add the best part is that you get to eat them!)
The next easter treat I would like to tackle is mini eggs brownies, as the recipes look delicious!
I hope this has given you some inspiration on how to relax over the Easter break 🙂
Until next time, Kaitlyn x
