It’s finally June, exams have started and some people have finished or are very close to it! If you’ve read my past blogs, you’ll know that I am currently in my final year studying Liberal Arts (And will be finished, this time tomorrow), so what to do now? Celebrate, of course! I present to you some things you can do to celebrate the end of the year.

  1. My friends and I always go for a Wagamamas and Bowling to celebrate. The good thing is, both of these are in both Coventry and Leamington Spa! Who doesn’t love a good Wagas followed by trying to beat each other at bowling? I feel like bowling is one of those things that never gets old. It’s an easy, cheap celebration, there’s food, drink and an arcade, what more could you want? Tenpin bowling also always has an offer at least once a week, as well as a student discount, for example, “Tenpin Tuesday” where it’s 50% off games, or “£10 Thursdays” where you can get 2 rounds of bowling and a burger meal for a mere £10. There is also “Frenzy Friday” which is 25% off bowling, food and drink after 6pm on a Friday. However, my favourite offer is £9 for three games on a Sunday, £3 per game!
  2. If you’re looking for some adventure, there’s a GoApe in Coventry. It’s a bit of a trek to get to, but there’s Axe Throwing, plus of course the tree top adventures and a new introduction (Which I found out about whilst writing this blog), Mini Landrovers. They have tracks around the site where you can drive a mini landrover! My friends and I have been meaning to go here for such a long time and we still haven’t managed it!
  3. If you want something more local, you could Teezers Golf in Coventry. It’s a lot easier to get to, there is a student discount and it’s got a cocktail bar, so what more could you want? One of the best things about this is that it’s 18+ only, so there won’t be any kids running around.
  4. Take a day trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon. I hear it’s beautiful! It’s a historical city just outside of Leamington Spa, Warwick Castle is nearby and there’s a lot to explore in the town!
  5. Of course, you could always just complete a tour of the Spoons Pubs in Leamington and Coventry. It’s cheap and cheerful and a lot of fun with a group of friends!

If you’ve made it this far, good job, if you’ve finished your exams and deadlines, well done!! (Spare a thought to those who still have exams though). Make use of the free time you’ve got, especially if you’re graduating this year! There’s so much to do and see to celebrate finishing the year, so make the most of it.
