It’s the first day of the Easter vacation, I’m not going to say holiday as I’m guessing like me most of us have lots of work to be getting on with. I’m going to make sure I get loads done before the kids break up for Easter. For some of us I know you’re taught lectures / seminars are now over for the academic year and you’re starting to possibly think about exams, for others you’re just frantically writing essays before deadlines. For those who will be graduating this year, I’m sure you’re busy thinking about what happens next; some of you may have already started to apply for graduate jobs. If you haven’t started to consider what you’re doing next, don’t worry, if you have no idea what you want to do the careers office is open over the Easter vacation, maybe you could make an appointment with them.
We haven’t got anything planned over the Easter vacation this year, I didn’t think it was a great idea, with only 10 whole weeks left to get everything done and then I graduate. Aargh!!! On the other hand we have got a holiday booked before we graduate, so there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Now I know that there are many CLL students worrying at the moment and I think I can quite easily say most people are feeling this way. You’re not on your own. If you’re struggling to concentrate or you’re just very good at procrastinating you might want to make a gannt chart. One of my friends reminded me of these the other day when she’d done one for herself and someone else. They look at bit like this:
You could use one of these for anything, but they work well for essays and exam revision.
Anyway whatever you’re doing over the Easter vacation enjoy! It’s Faith birthday party on Saturday so I’ve got lots to do this week to prepare for that, so I better get on with it. I’ve also got to go and get my tooth sorted, which I broke on pasta last week. I have no idea how that happened and I’m slightly annoyed about it too. I’ve also got some refresher training for being a student ambassador, a meeting with my dyslexia tutor and Faith has red nose day at preschool on Friday. Lots to do and not enough time.
