Christmas in the sun
Merry Christmas!! Hope you all had an awesome day where ever you are!
Earlier this week I celebrated Christmas, in Sydney! It was such a unique experience and I am so glad that I stayed to see how it is done down under.
Today is New Year’s Eve and I am in Brisbane, I don’t have any set plans yet (being spontaneous is the best way) but I have met lots of other travellers and we have a few ideas.
In regards to my travels, so far I have been to Tasmania, New Zealand, Canberra and Sydney, and I am in Brisbane at the moment. I am going to head towards Cairns later on, and be back in Melbourne in time for the Australian Open (managed to grab myself some tickets – I am excited!!)
The day began treating myself to a nice breakfast in a nearby cafe:
We then went to Bondi beach, as you do on Christmas day. It was pretty awesome hearing Christmas music whilst laying on a beach getting a tan. There was also a Christmas tree on the beach!
Lunch was a burger and dinner was a nice Italian pasta (yes yes I know, not very Christmasey)
Christmas Eve was also lovely, I visited a Cathedral – a perfect time to reflect on my year so far. The months have flown by so quickly and deciding to apply to study abroad is going to be a decision that I will forever be glad that I did!
