Busy busy busy
It’s that time of term – deadlines for group work, class tests as well as big nights out all seem to come at once. After a comparably relaxing few weeks, this can come as a bit of a shock. As I write this, I am surrounded by paper relating to different modules, a whiteboard full of things I need to do, post it notes reminding me of various deadlines and, of course, a coffee. I also can’t help but think that these deadlines and tests etc would be less of an issue had I not purchased tickets to go on various nights out. I guess it’s all part of the university experience – if you haven’t experienced a night of caffeine infused semi-productive study then did you even go to uni?
So far I haven’t found the management course too intensive in terms of the workload. I’ve still been able to do all the other stuff I enjoy – and a lot of it! Managing your time is important, however, if you want to get the most out of your university experience.
We’re about to start the final week of the term and this term has flown by. It’s been great, I just can’t believe that I’m 2/3rds of the way through my first year at university! My main advice for making the most of your time here would be to just try everything, you’re bound to find something that you’ve never tried before and absolutely love. Take me for example, I’d been on the local radio at home once for one thing or another before coming to university, and that was my only experience with radio. Gave it a go here and now have a weekly show on the university radio station (RAW) which is something I love doing but had never even thought of doing before!
University is what you make of it – so make the most of it!
Anyway, I’ve finished my coffee now, time for another.
